Boston-based Margulies Perruzzi Architects has completed the design of new office space in New York City and San Francisco for Forrester Research, Inc.
Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA) and Forrester have collaborated for over ten years on multiple projects, including the design of Forrester's new 190,000 square foot corporate headquarters at Cambridge Discovery Park in Cambridge, Massachusetts that is slated for completion in August 2011. This project is expected to achieve a LEED® Gold rating.
Having grown out of its former spaces in New York City and San Francisco, Forrester took larger office spaces in both cities and selected Margulies Perruzzi Architects for interior design. The New York City and San Francisco offices offer 12,000 square feet and 15,000 square feet of space, respectively.
Both offices feature an open, collaborative workspace with clustered workstations, quiet rooms for concentrated work, a team room for every 12 employees, and a café. Conference rooms are clustered in a public area near reception for client privacy and convenience. The alternative workspace design has no private offices.
While the design concept is similar in both locations, the color palette and materials are unique for each office. The New York City office features bright red as an accent color to a muted palette, and the San Francisco office highlights blue and green accents that reflect the view of San Francisco Bay from the windows.
