Margulies Perruzzi Architects has been selected by Middlesex Savings Bank to design a relocated branch in Millis, Mass.
Margulies Perruzzi Architects (MPA) will collaborate with Middlesex Savings Bank's design team to configure and design the new branch to be as inviting to customers as possible. To that end, MPA and Middlesex Savings Bank held a number of interactive and collaborative 3D design sessions that incorporated the bank's design goals with MPA's experience in bank design.
Middlesex Savings Bank chose to relocate its Milliston Commons branch to a new location within the plaza with easy drive up teller access. The new location will feature four teller stations and three managerial offices in 2,900 square feet, a multimedia kiosk for customer training and education, and video displays in lieu of paper throughout the branch. The relocation provides the bank with the opportunity to re-conceptualize its approach to customer service and use of technology, while maintaining its community-oriented and friendly staff.
MPA's design uses a palette of materials that are consistent with Middlesex Savings Bank's brand image. Sustainable materials were also chosen whenever possible. The information kiosk with several multimedia devices features an extensive use of interactive audiovisual equipment for customer information.
Colantonio Inc. is the construction manger for the project, which will be completed in early summer 2011.
